This is, as Guild Sweetheart mentioned, because the banter between her and Pod 042 and her general annoyance with what she has to do (ugh, chase down 9S and try to save him!) mirrored my own the best at that time of the game.īesides A2, I probably enjoyed playing 2B slightly more than 9S, but the two of them are extremely close (I've rewritten whom I preferred playing the most multiple times now as I evaluate the question).
Story-wise, I definitely preferred playing A2 over both 9S and 2B. So to summarize in regards to the gameplay: 2B > A2 > 9S.
9S' hacking ability, while fun to do on bosses for extra lore goodies, limits his even more. A2's taunt ability (holding down X) limits her moveset slightly. As lessthanoff mentioned before me this adds an extra moveset to 2B not available on A2 or 9S.

This is because 2B have full use of the weapon combat mechanic through her two weapons and the ability to do charged attacks with both. Gameplay-wise, I definitely preferred playing 2B over both A2 and 9S.
